The State Committee will meet in Phoenix at the Wyndham Hotel on March 7th to elect a new chair due to the resignation of Paul Eckerstrom. 

Breakfast Meeting Planned for AzDPC

There will be a breakfast meeting of the AZDPC at First Watch, 1st Street and Washington starting about 8:15 and ending about 9:45. First Watch is about a block South of the Wyndham on the SW corner of 1st Street and Washington.

Proposed Agenda:

Review and approve minutes from 1-24-09.

Vote on bylaws changes

Have clipboards available to gather signatures and update member lists.

Vote on Vice Chair Positions

Discuss the Chair’s election—distribute minutes of the AzDPC leadership meeting with Don Bivens.

Review issue of the Executive Director Search.

Consider our own message for action in light of the stronger adp proposal.

State Committee Members:

If you are planning to be a candidate for Chair of the Arizona Democratic Party, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know by February 27 so that I can be as prepared as possible for the election process to be as secure and smooth as possible.  Email is best, but I can be contacted at 520-237-7366.

Hopefully there will be several candidates so Democrats can have a choice, someone who will create a message and work with the grassroots.  Arizona can't take too much more of this Republican legislature.
